Frequently Asked Questions

Until when can I modify the content of my cart?

You may modify your order until 8 pm on the day prior to delivery day. The cart can be reopened for modification until 7:50 pm and all modifications must be finished until 8 pm, otherwise your items cannot be delivered in time-slot booked for the next day.

Will I receive my Trust Points I can use in the stores if I shop online, too?

Basic Trust points for your online shopping will be credited to your account. Trust points for promotional items will not be credited but we are working on our system so that these points will also be credited in the future.

What locations can I get my items delivered to?


You can engage the online order and delivery service in all districts of Budapest and in many settlements in the proximity of the capital city. Click here to view our map and check if we deliver to your address.

Do I need to register if I only want to check the product range?

You do not need to register to check the product range or to place items in the cart. Registration is only necessary if you wish to purchase the products. You can register (a few simple steps only!) before, during or after shopping.

How can I register on the site?

The easiest way to give your data is to click on the [Enter the store] menu item. You need to give your full name, email address, phone number and a password which you can modify any time in the future. Before registration you need to accept our Privacy policy. By ticking the “I accept the Privacy policy” checkbox at the end of the Privacy policy you state that the content therein is clear and acceptable. Upon receipt of your registration request we automatically send you a confirmation e-mail. Click on the link in the e-mail to confirm your registration. With one e-mail address you may register only one account. Your password can be modified any time by using the “Forgotten password” function. You can register before starting your online shopping and finalising your cart’s content.

How can I log in to the site?

If you wish to log in, please click on [Log in] and enter your registered username and password.

How can I shop in the Online store?

You do not need a registration to start shopping in the Online store, therefore you may freely browse our product categories and check the product details on the site. You can place items into your cart from the list view or from the product view. You can easily find the products through the search bar. It is important to know, that after completing your shopping, you need to register in order to finalise your order.

How can I pick a time-slot for delivery and how much does this service cost?


The earliest time-slot for delivery can be booked on the day following the submittal of your order. You can book a free time-slot even two weeks in advance. Firstly, choose the day that suits you best in the table, then pick a two-hour time-slot. In the table you can check the service fees that belong to the various time-slots. Once you pick the time-slot, the service fee will be automatically added to the total price of your order.

How can I set the delivery address?

You can set your delivery address during finalising your order. First, provide the zip code of your settlement. You can set more than one address within the delivery area. We handle and store your personal data encrypted, in a confidential manner observing rules for maximum data protection as laid down in our Privacy policy.

What products can I purchase in the Auchan Online store?

You can browse thousands of products including fresh food, frozen goods, beverages as well as healthcare and beauty products, hygienic and household products. We are working to continuously expand our product range.

Are the online prices any different from Auchan store prices?

Prices of the products purchased online are identical with the store prices on the day you submit your order. Of course, the same rule applies to the promotional items, too. The prices on the website are identical with the ones you may see on the price tags in our stores at the moment of your shopping.

How can I find a product?

There are several ways to find a product: Products are listed in categories (e.g. basic food) and you can narrow down your search results with the filters on the left side of the screen. You can simply find products using the search bar, and you can place the items in your shopping cart. In the “Promotion” menu, you can browse the current promotional products.

How can I place a product in my cart, and how can I modify the content of my cart later?

You can add products to your cart on any product site of the online store. All you need to do is provide the desired amount and click on the “Add to cart” button. By clicking on the shopping cart icon you can easily delete the selected product or you can modify the quantity.

Is there a limit to the number of products I can buy?

For every item there is an individual quantitative limit which shows the top quantity the company takes on to deliver. Auchan aims to make the products available for the most possible customers in the delivery areas, that is why the maximum orderable quantity of items has been set. The quantitative limit is clearly indicated in each case, as the system will not allow selecting a higher amount or more pieces of a given item.

What do I need to do if I placed all the products I want to buy into the car and I would like to proceed?

The shopping process is made up of three main steps that can be performed in any order you like: Placing the products in the cart – Booking a time-slot for delivery – Selecting delivery address and payment method. As the last step you will be requested to confirm the selected products. Before the last step, you can modify the content of your cart, the time-slot for delivery and the delivery address at any time. Finally you need to submit your order. If you successfully submitted the order, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from Auchan.

What happens during the delivery process?

Your products will be delivered in a temperature-controlled van by one of our colleagues. When taking receipt of the products, you will of course have the opportunity to check if all your products have been delivered fresh, in prime quality and in the ordered quantity. If the product you wish to buy is not available on the day of the delivery, the delivery assistant will deliver a similar product (substitute product). Of course, you do not have to accept the substitute product. If you decline toaccept the substitute product, you will only need to pay for the items you actually take receipt of. You can refuse to accept any item, if you decide that the item fails to meet your requirements.

What can I do if I am not happy with the substitute product?

Substitute products are highlighted on the delivery note and will be placed in a bag of different colour. If you decide that certain products do not meet your requirements, please feel free to give it back to the delivery assistant. The assistant then will deduce the price of the returned product(s) from the total amount you need to pay.

How do you treat the products on which there is a deposit and their packing?

The prices of products with a deposit on their packing include the price of of the packing (deposit), too. The price of the packing is always displayed on the invoice as a separate item. You can return suck packing to any Auchan store where the deposit will be refunded. Returnable packing cannot be handed over directly to the delivery assistant.

When do I receive the products I purchased?

During your shopping you need to book a time-slot when your products will be delivered to you. You can select one of the available 2-hour time-slots. During the test period we will be delivering from Monday to Friday. It is important that for all time-slots there is a maximum number of deliveries we can fulfil. To be able to book your ideal time-slot we suggest you prepare your shopping list in advance and submit your order in time. You can submit your order even 2 weeks prior to the delivery.

How do I receive the invoice of the online shopping?

Please let our delivery assistant know if you need a VAT invoice. We will send you the electronic invoice of the items you actually took receipt of and paid for via e-mail.

Is there a minimum age under which one cannot take over the delivered items?

Only a person over 18 years of age is entitled to take receipt of the delivered products. If the delivery assistant is in doubt as to the age of the person who wishes to take receipt of the products, but the person refuses to certify his/her age with the necessary documents, the Delivery assistant is obliged to refuse to hand over the ordered product(s). Likewise, if the person who wants to take receipt of the delivery presents a document that certifies his/her age, and he/she has not yet reached the age of 18, the delivery assistant is obliged to refuse to hand over the ordered product(s).

Will the delivery assistant carry the items to my door even though I live upstairs?

Yes, our delivery assistant will carry your shopping to your door.

What happens if I am late for the delivery? What can I do?

If you miss the time of delivery, please contact our Customer Service at info@auchan.hu or call (+36-40) 10-90- 10 and our colleagues will attempt to redirect the delivery assistant to your place, if possible. If the delivery assistant cannot return to your address, then your order will be deleted. In that case, you need to place your order again.

What happens if the product I chose is not available?

If on the day of the delivery a product you ordered is not available, we deliver a substitute product. In such cases the substitute product will be highlighted on the delivery note. Of course, you are not obliged to accept and purchase the substitute products. If you choose not to accept the substitute product, simply return it to the delivery assistant. We assigned substitute products for most items in our online store. Before you submit your order, you may choose which substitute product you would like if the originally ordered product is not available. If our colleagues cannot find a proper product to substitute the item you ordered, then we will deliver your order without that item.

Where can I modify the content of my cart?

Once you are logged in, next to your username there is a drop-down menu. In the My orders - modify menu you can enter the cart the content of which you wish to select, where you can click on the modify my order button and then you can start modifying the content of the given cart.

Auchan.hu: What types of catalogues does Auchan offer?

Auchan publishes a variety of catalogues with national and local validity, including on specific topics (sport, horticulture). Please check the validity of the offer before purchasing and whether the offer applies to which store. The validity data can be found on the back of each publication.

Auchan.hu: Where can I report if I haven't received the weekly catalogue?

Auchan.hu: Do I have to pay for parking?

Parking is free and we provide assistance services in the parking area.

Yes, most of our stores have breastfeeding / diaper rooms, you can request the key from the Customer Service.

 

Auchan.hu: Does your stores have child seats for toddlers and small car-shaped shopping carts for older kids?

The specially designed shopping carts tailored to children's needs are available in the stores' sales areas.

Auchan.hu: Are Auchan stores designed to be accessible for individuals with disabilities?

All Auchan stores and parking spaces are accessible so that our customers with reduced mobility can fully use them. Shopping carts designed for people with disabilities can be used in the shopping areas of the stores.

Auchan.hu: Do waste collectors work in the stores?

Yes, used battery and light pipe collectors have been placed in our stores. You can bring back to us boxes, pet bottles, non-returnable bottles. You will find the containers at the glass recyclers.
Selective waste collection may vary by store, please inquire in the Customer Service about the availability of selective waste collectors in the respective store.

Auchan.hu: Which currencies, purchases and meal vouchers can I use to pay in Auchan stores?

In Auchan stores, you can pay with cash, debit cards and numerous shopping and meal vouchers. You can see the exact list of payments here.

Auchan.hu: Why is the shopping car ringing?

As with trolleybuses, electrostatic charge can be accumulated in any moving structure made of metal. In order not to cause any discomfort, we have grounded every Auchan shopping cart with a metal chain. The ringing of the metal chain causes the characteristic sound effect.

You can request an VAT invoice for the block at the Customer Services. If you register a Business trust card with the Customer Service, you will be able to automatically print a simplified invoice with the card in the cash.

Through regular training of our employees and HACCP certification of our stores, Auchan guarantees food safety for our own manufactured products, in the bakery and barbecue departments. HACCP is an internationally accepted, systematic method for achieving food safety through the identification, assessment and management of potential hazards. All Auchan hypermarkets operate audited HACCP systems, which are reviewed annually.

Auchan.hu: How can I order from the webshop?

If you want to order from our online store, we recommend that you open the online.auchan.hu web address in the Google Chrome browser. Click to register, enter your email address and a password, and then click on the link in the email to confirm your registration. Then log in to your account, place the desired products in the basket, then follow the instructions on the page by pressing the Next button, and finally send your order with the Order button. Modifications and cancellations are possible until 19:00 p.m. on the day before delivery. To do this, from the drop-down menu next to the name, select My Orders - change. Auchan.hu: What should I do if I have a problem with purchased product.

If the product has been purchased by mistake and you do not wish to keep it, we will return it within thirty days in the original, unopened packaging, in the condition that can be sold for a block. If you would indicate your quality objection, please do so personally at the place of purchase at the customer service. Auchan.hu: What is a trust card program? How can I register?

Our trust card program is Auchan Hungary’s regular purchasing program, during which you can collect trust points after purchases, refuelling, purchase them as you like, or have the possibility to take advantage of additional discounts and participate in prize games with digital coupons. Auchan.hu: What is required to apply for a product loan?

To apply, please bring the following documents:

 

  •  a valid identity card or driver's license or passport issued by a Hungarian authority
  • Tax card and a valid tax card
  • a bill of utilities not older than 60 days from the place of residence, or a fixed telephone or internet bill
  • Employer certificate of at least 3 months of employment with the same employer
  • for pensioners, the pension period and the last monthly pension period

Uniform prices for home delivery of non-food products – mainly electronics and household appliances – available at Auchan. The same shipping rates apply to items purchased in stores as to products ordered online.

We will deliver the product to the entire country within 7 working days. The tariffs were determined based on the size and weight of the order, as well as the distance, and we determined categories for household quantities.

You cannot register for the Auchan Bébé Program with a Business Trust Card.



 

Auchan Bébé: I forgot to hand over my card, will I receive the discount?

No, there is no possibility of subsequent benefits and Credit Points.

 

Auchan Bébé: Can I take advantage of the Auchan Baby Program discount in the Szekszárd supermarket?

The Auchan Bébé Program operates in the Szekszárd supermarket, so the discounts can be used, but the selection may differ from the products included in the promotion for the given period.

Auchan Bébé: Can I take advantage of the Auchan Bébé Program discount at Auchan online store?

The discounts of the Auchan Bébé Program cannot be applied in the Auchan online store.

Auchan Bébé: I registered during my pregnancy, since then my child has been born. How can I change my already provided data?

In the case of registration with a credit card, by entering the customer service of the stores or the  www.bizalomkartya.auchan.hu/login page, you can change your already entered data at any time under the “Settings” section. In the case of registration with an Auchan Card, it is possible to change the data at the Financial Corner in the Auchan stores.

Trust Card: Where and how can I apply for a Trust Card?

You can create a digital Trust Card by downloading the OkAuchan app or through the online.auchan.hu platform, and you can request a physical Trust Card at the customer service desk in the store. To register, you first need to create an Auchan account, then confirm it via email, after which you can create your new card.

Trust Card: How can I activate my Trust Card?

After registering in-store or online, your Trust Card will be activated upon confirming the email sent to your email account. Confirming your account is essential; unfortunately, accounts not confirmed within 72 hours must be deleted.

Trust Card: How can I collect my points?

You can collect your Trust Points by scanning your Trust Card at the time of purchase in-store, at gas stations, or online.

Trust Card: How many points do I receive for in-store purchases?

For every 1,000 HUF spent, 5 Trust Points can be collected, but a maximum of 500 Trust Points per transaction. Points can also be collected after purchasing products designated by the store for Trust Points.

Trust Card: How many points do I receive for purchases at gas stations?

For any type of fuel purchase at Auchan gas stations, 5 Trust Points can be collected for every 1,000 HUF spent, but a maximum of 500 Trust Points per transaction.

Trust Card: What can I use my collected points for?

The Trust Points can be redeemed during in-store purchases, where 1 point equals 1 Forint in value, thereby reducing the total amount payable. All collected points can be used, but with Trust Points, a maximum of 90% of the purchase value can be paid.

Trust Card: How many points can I collect in a single purchase?

During a purchase transaction, a maximum of 500 (five hundred) Trust Points can be collected based on the total purchase amount.

Trust Card: Where can I see how many points I have collected?

You can view your current balance in the app, on the bizalomkartya.auchan.hu website after logging in, and at the bottom of the purchase receipt.

Trust Card: How long are my points valid?

If you do not use your Trust Card for either collecting or redeeming points within the given calendar year, your points will be expired (deleted) on December 31. We always send a notification at the beginning of December, so you have the opportunity to use your card.

Trust Card: Can the Trust Card and the Fuel Card be used together?

No, the Trust Card cannot be used in conjunction with the Fuel Card.

Trust Card: What should I do if my card is lost, stolen, or damaged?

If the Trust Card is lost, stolen, or damaged, you can initiate its blocking/replacement in person at the customer service of the Stores or through the InfoCenter at 06 80 10 90 10. In the case of issuing a new Trust Card, the balance of Trust Points at the time of deactivation of the blocked Trust Card will be transferred to the new Trust Card.

Trust Card: I forgot to present my card; can the points be credited afterwards?

No, there is no possibility for points to be credited retroactively.

Trust Card: Can a company apply for a Trust Card?

No, only individuals can apply for a Trust Card. Businesses and organizations can apply for a Business card at our in-store customer services.

Trust Card: Can a VAT invoice be requested with the use of the Business Trust Card?

When using the Trust Card, a VAT invoice for the purchase can only be issued by Auchan Hungary Ltd. to the name and address registered to the Trust Card, applicable for both in-store purchases and fueling.

Trust Card: How can I subscribe/unsubscribe from marketing orders received via email and/or SMS?

After logging in, you can modify your marketing inquiries consent (subscribe/unsubscribe) in the "My Profile" section. Additionally, you can unsubscribe on the www.online.auchan.hu/unsubscribe page by entering your email address.

Trust Card: What are the Trust Card offers?

 

The Trust Card offers include weekly renewing product deals valid from every Thursday to the following Wednesday (validity dates are found at the bottom of the offers). You can view the current Trust Card offers in the OkAuchan app or by logging into your profile. If you have given your consent, you will be notified about the current Trust Card offers via email. The discount applies even when purchasing multiple (identical) items from the products specified in the Trust Card offers in a single transaction. The Trust Card offers are available both in-store and for online orders. Offers are only available to active accounts that have been confirmed via email!

Trust Card: How can I use my Trust Card when shopping online?

If your Trust Card is linked to your Auchan account, it will automatically appear in the "My Profile" section. If your account is not yet associated with a Trust Card, you can do so by logging in at bizalomkartya.auchan.hu and filling out the registration form. For online purchases, you can collect 5 points for every 1,000 HUF spent, but currently, point redemption is only possible in-store. You can also collect the extra 3x points for Family or Senior days during your online shopping.
